2. Mahatmas - New Bhaktacharitras Each Month

India is the holy land with so many bhaktas (devotees). When we go through the Indian history, there must be a bhakta in every period. That is the greatness of this sacred land. Bhaktas are the role model for all the bonded souls. They enjoy their life in a perfect way. Bhaktas surrender themselves to the Lotus feet of Lord. By hearing or reading bhaktas' divine story, the bonded soul is enlightened to come out of the worldwide bondages.
RadheKrishna! Sincere chanting and listening to the great stories of devotees will surely give a peace of mind to everybody, even in this 21st century. So many people think that listening to the devotee's stories is a waste of time and there is no benefit at all. If somebody wants to realize the power of bagawan, first of all they must listen bhaktha charithram [stories of devotees]. There are so many advantages in listening to baktha charithram.
Bharath is a very special land and contained within it are sacred places and rivers. Devotees born in this sacred Bharath ensure that they propagate bhakti in all corners of the country. This is the precise reason why the fragrance of bhakti can be felt all around our country. Our beloved Guruji has a special reverence for Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and in the coming issues, we will enjoy his bhakthi and the path of devoution that he had set an example for us to follow.
It is an irony that we are associating ourselves closely with those who could have insulted us in the past janmas or births! It is by contemplating on the people whom we hate that we begin to acquire those qualities and in the process begin to like those people whom we hated in the beginning. Nimayee laments that despite going to temple daily and doing poojas he is feeling a sense of void. This realization is a very crucial thing to realize that we are possessed by our ego. There is a fine difference between self confidence and ego. What Dhurvan and Prahalandan possessed in the eagerness to see the Lord is self confidence and what Kamsa and Dhuryodana possessed was hatred and ego.
Nimayee prays to the Lord to get true devoution towards Him and that he should shed tears of joy on visiting his temples and seeing Him. Nimayee prays that he should get true devoution towards Krishna and that his soul longs for this association to get a glimpse of how it feels to be a true devotee of the Lord. This is the true boundary of happiness and there is nothing else that can be joyous than getting to enjoy Krishna. Nimayee prays that despite his lack of entitlement to be a devotee, he longs to be united with Krishna and enjoy his true love. He also longs to be like devotees of the Lord including Gajendara (the elephant), Dhuruvan and Drowpathi.
Then a sound emanates and the biggest puzzle in the life history of Nimayee is that at times he will  speak like the Lord and at time he will behave like a devotee. The Lord accepted  Nimayee's prayer as he said that he was nothing but useless and gave up his ego. No amount of devoution will help acquire the Lord until the point in time that we realize that we are nothing and give up our ego. Those who dont rely on anything but the Lord alone are entitled to get the grace of the Lord and devoution towards Krishna.
Leela continues...

RadheKrishna.Hinduism is an ancient religion. All the things that have been spoken in Hindu religion can be applied in practical life. Although in 21st century till everyone can apply this in his or her daily life. The aim of Hindu religion is to provide total happiness to everyone at all times (or any point of time). The essence of Hinduism is told in "Bhagawad Gita". In order to realize what is said in Bhagawad Gita it is a compulsory (must) to have an unconditional faith on Bhagawad Gita. So many people have benefited in their lives because of the (by reading) shlokas of Bhagawad Gita. In Bhagawad Gita, Bhagawan Shri Krishna has told the way to lead a happy life in such an easy way that even a normal layman can easily understand. The slokas are so simple that anyone can understand and use it practically. In the coming months we will enjoy the 12th Chapter of Gita and the devoution towards the Lord as explained by our  beloved Guruji.
Those who are meditating on the form of the Lord are able to in some hours, some days or in some years be able  to enjoy the Lord. Meditating on the formless nature of the Lord requires us to control our senses, see the Lord in everything but even then they will never be able to describe the enjoyment of the Lord. The Lord also proclaims that those who are doing their duty by surrending their minds to Him is ensured of salvation and they need not return to this earth again. On hearing this Arjuna is overjoyed. The Lord can explain things for our happiness and our guru can simplify this for our understanding but in the end it is up to the individual to take efforts and enjoy the Lord.
It is because of our past prarabhdha karma that we have descended on this planet. Many are of the opinion that karma means sins but is not that true. Karma means all the good and the evil that we have accumulated over our past births. The Lord is asking us to just focus our minds on Him alone like how we will be thinking of a disease until the disesease is cured. Even Kulasekara azhwar says that much like the love developed by a diseased person towards the doctor, he longs for the love towards the Lord alone in his Perumal Thirumozhi. To give another example, if we are in trouble then whilst we walk or sleep or watch TV, our mind is constantly thinking about the solution to the problem and in the same way we should always be thinking about the Lord.
Just as a mother who waits for the child to return from home, we should always be engaged in the thought of the Lord and this is called Ananya Bhakthi or single minded devoution. If we have lost a jewel then nothing else comes to our minds unless we are able to find and recover the lost article. Until the gold jewel is found our mind is living with the lost jewellery andsimilarly we should be engaged our minds in devoution towards the Lord

RadheKrishna  RadheKrishna..
Perumal Thirumozhi was as a result of Kulasekara azhwar longing to see and enjoy Lord Ranganatha. The Thirumozhi also results from the bhakthi of the azhwar towards Rama and Krishna and he begins with his longing for Lord Ranganatha. Everyone of us have so much of longing for the worldly affairs but the longing and the love for the Lord alone will help us achieve a good state.
Kulasekara azhwar enjoys Lord Ranganatha as Adisheshan in the first two pasurams or songs. Then he enjoys the Lord as enjoyed by Brahma. But the way Gopis enjoyed the Lord is considered to be supreme. This is because the not so intelligent Gopis were fully aware of the strengths of the Lord and believed that Krishna would save them. Of all the avatars,  Krishna avatar is considered to be the best and one that can easily be enjoyed. This was followed by Kulasekara azhwar enjoying how Narada and Tumburu enjoy the Lord. He continues further and sees how the devotees are enjoying the Lord and what items are safeguarding the Lord. Then the azhwar decides to mingle with the devotees and experience how it would be to be part of that group and enjoy the Lord.

If we were to remain happy then we should get rid of our sins. Kulasekara azhwar wishes that everybody should be happy continuously without hurdles just as water will flow out freely from a waterfall. Everything should give us happiness right from sleep, excretion, getting to work and meeting various people should all give us happiness. Walking, eating, digesting, seeing, hearing and moving around should all give us pleasures. Is it possible to remain this way? Yes if we continuously chant then those things that give us pleasures alone will be seen and be heard by us. I am saying this out of my own experience and the more we begin to hear about bad things the more the mind moves in that direction.

There are many ways to do siteseeing in Chennai. You can go by A/C car, bus or you can take a ride in the river coovam (famous for bad odour) and it is up to us to decide the best way. If we trust the Lord and chant then only good things will be seen and be heard by us. Even in Aandal's paasurams (poems) the only sadness you will find is that of her not attaining the Lord and no other sadness shall ever be found in her songs. Despite being a bad person, Kamsa enjoyed happiness because he saw Krishna everywhere he turned around. All these should happen in the world so that the devotees of the Lord can live happily and the Lord in Srirangam in lying in a happy state to ensure their happiness.

The Lord never forsakes us despite our mistakes and is everlonging to shed his mercy on us. The Lord forgives us saying that it is the nature of Kaliyuga which is making them commit mistakes. Everyone does mistakes and places the blame on the Lord. The Lord however takes this lightly and forgives all of us. Even when Vibishana was sad on leaving behind Lord Ranganatha, the Lord assured him that He is in a reclining pose facing his kingdom!  The Lord faces the south direction and despite this being the abode of Yama and disliked by people, the Lord favours this direction. Even if we are very egoistic and go to Srirangam temple, you will never find a change in the Lord and He will be as always be full of mercy and a charming face.
The pasuram continues next month..

Bhagawan takes avatar in each and every yuga mainly to safeguard the bhaktas and then to destroy the rakshasaas who trouble his bhaktas. So Bhagawan comes to this bhoomi from paRamapadham just for the sake of his bhaktas. Hence we come to know that bhaktas are very important to the Lord. Whenever Bhagawan comes to rescue his bhaktas, the other fellow people also reap the benefits. Our guruji amma gives high respect to all the bhaktas. Hence our Vedhanaadham's every issue will be dedicated to one bhakta. This issue we are dedicating to one of the great eternal devotees of the Lord namely 'Maha Bali'
